Forged Name in Saloon Petition Case Emerges
Attorneys for liquor dealers report new developments in the forged petition case. Eugene Heding, 39, was bound over to the grand jury after admitting he forged the name of his brother in law L Hart to a saloon petition. He was moved from city jail to county jail and faces forgery prosecution. A canvasser and Hart’s brother in law confirmed the incident. Heding allegedly signed Hart’s name on November 18 after presenting Hart’s residence. The liquor lobby anticipates further disclosures and possible charges as ongoing probes continue.
