Death summons shocks Waterloo community in 1900s
Charles A Graceley, a longtime Waterloo carpenter and contractor, died at home on Saturday evening from heart failure after a brief illness. He was 50 and had lived in Waterloo thirty years, helped build many blocks and Y M C A facilities, and sat on juries including the McCaskill trial. He leaves a widow Sarah Liddel and siblings. born July 1855 in Illinois.

Holdups on Water Street and Lynch Grocery Robbery
A man from Nevada, Missouri, is robbed of 16.20 on Water Street between Fourth and Fifth as two colored suspects with a revolver stage the hold up near 6 pm. No clues are found. Separately, P. P. Lynch Grocery on Fourth Street is entered by burglars who steal candy and pennies. Bloodhounds trace the trail to the rear of the home of two suspected boys. the pair escapes.

Remains of Alfred Atkins Taken for Burial
The aged Alfred Atkins died Friday morning in the city. His body was moved by O'Keefe and Towne to Lake Mills Wisconsin for interment. Deceased had lived here for a year and death was due to old age and complications.
