University Leader Hung in Effigy by Omaha Students
About 50 students on the University of Omaha campus hung Dr Karl Frederick Wettstone in effigy from a flag pole after he dismissed two sophomore athletes for poor scholarship. A placard labeled Wellstone the Little Kaiser accompanied the effigy with stickers demanding campus student rights. Wettstone has faced ongoing protests since restricting student involvement in college affairs and recently voiced opposition to student control.
