Miss Casebeer of Cedar Falls cited abuses at the Girls Industrial home in Mitchellville, with state board of control proposed changes re reform school governance. Notices included plans for a public postroom and a draft bill on appointing probation officers.

Pioneer Couple Celebrates Golden Anniversary in Black Hawk County
Mr and Mrs John Buehner marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their Dunkerton home. They and eight of their children with spouses eleven relatives and grandchildren gathered for a family reunion. The couple who immigrated from Germany settled near Dunkerton in 1873 and remain long time members of Gresham Dyan gelica church.
