The Celwein High School receives a bust and statue donated by the 1923 graduating class. The pieces were presented by Anita Andrews and others and will be displayed in the new building. Dr George Kurtelling of the Presbyterian church spoke on Washington and Lincoln. Nearby, motor vehicle counts show 6,600 registered cars in Fayette County this year, with 28 marriage licenses issued in the first 52 days of 1924. County offices announced several candidate filings for sheriff attorney treasurer and other posts. The Kensington Faggist church celebrated its tenth anniversary with a husband’s party, readings and music, a two-course luncheon for about 75 attendees.
