Temperance bill would curb pharmacist liquor sales
A proposed measure would allow druggists to sell liquor only with physician prescriptions filed to the county auditor, with duplicates sent by physicians. It would treat possession of intoxicants or excess alcohol without permits as prima facie evidence of illegal sale, allow cancelation of pharmacist permits for improper sales, and revoke state board certificates after a second conviction. The bill, defeated in the Senate last session, may be revived amid temperance support.
