Sproul Predicts New U S Prohibition Era Within 10 Years
Washington reports Rep. W. H. Sproul of Kansas foresees a forthcoming phase of universal temperance within a decade. He argues enforcement will tighten, education will shift public sentiment, and a new generation will be unfamiliar with saloons. He urges stricter Volstead amendments and broader search powers, plus federal enforcement continued by the justice department. A separate suit between Zook & Bentz and R. Cowin settled out of court for 9,800 with a counterclaim adjustment.
