Garrison Shippers Consider Contract Plan Reorganization
Garrison Iowa February 18 Members of the Garrison Livestock Shipping association called a meeting for Friday February 19 at 1 PM to discuss reorganizing. If approved the group will adopt the producers contract into its constitution and require members to ship all livestock through the association. Non members would be barred. Iowa State College specialist S. I. Thompson will attend to assist in adopting the plan. The group faces either operating strictly as a business or dissolving. The contract is seen as reviving the once weak shipping association through reforms from Newball and Shellature.

He cites hogs, cattle, and butterfat benefiting from high prices. Bedford also observes corn crib moisture near center and suggests saving dry outer corn for storage.
