Shooting ends life of Dean Chandler in Sioux City
Dean S. Chandler 22, a Hawkere Truck Company mechanic living in Morningside, was fatally shot at 8 40 p m in his room. Two shots fired, one ricocheted into a dresser. the other pierced his left side and liver. Doctors say condition critical with little hope. Police puzzled by motive as Chandler had no known enemies and no robbery attempt. He was taken to Samaritan hospital for operation to remove the bullet.
