Notice to Waterloo Iowa property owners requiring the display of house numbers not less than three inches high and two inches wide in visible locations. Numbers obtainable from the city engineer. Carpenters Withdraw From AFL Building Trades
Indianapolis Feb 16 The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners voted to withdraw from the AFL Building Trades department. The change takes effect immediately and does not affect carpenters remaining in the AFL. The dispute with sheet metal workers since 1909 drives the move. carpenters total about 200,2006 members.

Mason City Man Named Ass't Attorney General
Wiley Rankin of Mason City Iowa was notified by Attorney General Cosson that he has been selected as assistant attorney general. Rankin plans to move to Des Moines March 1 while keeping Mason City as his legal residence. He is a state committee member and general treasurer for the Progressive party. The appointment has no political significance.
