Tax Exemptions For War Service Opinion Published
An important opinion on tax exemptions for soldiers in the current war was issued by J J Wenner community attorney. It cites Chapter 380 and 386 provisions and cites the attorney general H M Hayner on whether homesteads or other property qualify for relief and how contracts affect exemption. The ruling clarifies that exemptions typically apply to the homestead and not to other property when the homestead exists, and outlines limits for wives and contracted homesteads.
