Sailors Save Battleship From Serious Fire

Philadelphia February 15 sailors aboard the battleship North Dakota at the navy yard quickly extinguished a brief engine room fire. A blown dynamo fuse ignited oil on woodwork but sailors leaped from bunks, used sand to douse the flames, and contained the blaze in about three minutes, testing fire drills across ships.
