Dairy and swine outlook bright for 1929 say Iowa experts
Iowa State College economists Budd A Holt and A R Mighell forecast a bright year for dairying and hogs in 1929 while cash grain profits stay weak. They urged cautious expansion, noting dairy production dominates domestic supply and hog numbers should stabilize. They also projected fair poultry prices and highlighted corn hog balance as key to profitability.

Trier Feb 12 The Fraer Co operative creamery purchased another vat of 600 gallons capacity. It is not new but nearly as good as new, saving $300 to $400 versus a new one, says Manager N Bendickson. This is the only item of new equipment directors plan to add this year. A large gain in butterfat receipts last year made the expenditure necessary.
