British airships to link London and Bombay in new era
London reports plans for two giant airships built of stainless steel with seven engines each capable of 600 horsepower. The vessels will carry 100 passengers, offer ocean liner amenities, allow smoking, and cover London to Bombay in about five days, with stations at Cardington Cairo and Bombay. Fare projected around 275 dollars per passenger.
