Bladine Says Iowa Won't Lose Much From Tax Cut
Dubuque Feb 9 Iowa will see little revenue loss from cutting high incomes tax says Lars Bladine collector. In 1921 only 34 filings in Iowa showed income over 40000 and none over 150900 paid above 6 percent. If similar 1922 1923 prosperity holds the top surtax would be 48 percent on a few dozen returns. About 770000 income tax would be affected between current top rate and 26 percent.
