Edmmond Douglass, a 74 year Iowa resident, died at his Postville home. Born in Fremonia in 1820, he moved to northern Iowa in 1846, traveled the trail to California in 1849, returned after three years, and spent his life in Town. He left a 79 year old son. Douglass was known for voting for many measures.
