Prohibition Likely To Stay, Says Pike Judge Panel

The Rotary luncheon in Hotel Russell Tamson heard George E. Pike warn that prohibition will remain in force. He noted Democrats hedge on the issue, while foreign events and the budget surplus feature as key 1927-28 achievements. Also noted was a plea for information on William H. Dewey, missing since Jan 20, described as 47, brown hair, gray eyes, last seen wearing a brown sweater and overcoat. Police in Pittsburg and Mrs. Dewey are seeking clues.
