Proposed railroad line would connect Hillsboro to Astoria via Salmonberry Ne Canticum

Word reached yesterday from railroad circles that surveys are complete and construction could start soon once weather allows. The favored route would run from Bristow on the Hillsboro to Tillamook line down Salmonberry creek to the Necanicum then to Seaside and on to Clatsop Plains at the Columbia River mouth into Astoria.
