Woman Pleads 10 Serve Life Team of Former Lover
In La Crosse Wisconsin December 29 1928 a man John Beier 29 recounted his eight year battle with a life prison term for the murder of Nick Biesen claiming his lover Mrs Beisen influenced him and that she killed her husband. Gov Zimmerman sent him to face Mrs Beisen who then admitted the likely responsibility and asked for Beier’s pardon but she later sought to serve his term herself. Beier admitted to firing the fatal shot after wresting a pistol from Biesen, challenging the claim that he acted alone. The case now rests with the state parole board.
