Wilson At War With Smith Over Senate Claim
Newark dispatch reports Gov elect Woodrow Wilson disputes claims that an emissary spoke for Smith Jr before the election about the senate race. Smith denies sending any emissary and challenges Wilson to identify the source. Wilson declines to reveal who told him the alleged remark, arguing he would not publicize the informant.

New Block Semaphore System For Kent Western Railway
A new all electric semaphore system is to be installed on 68 miles of Kent Western railway to reduce accidents and increase capacity. Signals, operated by direct current and trace circuits, will be placed at block intervals about a mile apart. Each signal end will warn the other, rails are bonded for safety, and a failing rail will trigger immediate danger stop. Train handling will be eased with blocks, allowing threefold capacity increase. Rules require trains to stop on red, have fineman inspect, then proceed after five minutes, with color signals guiding day and night operations.
