In Cedar Rapids district court, Earl High and family were awarded 11900 from Cedar Falls North Western Railway for injuries from a June 20 1926 collision with a bogey and engine. High suffered pelvis fractures and internal injuries. wife and child also injured. The railway denied negligence while High claimed negligence. Attorneys for the plaintiff were L D Dennis and James Patterson. The railway was represented by C E Picket and Don Barnes.

Burial of C. W. Ayers Next Monday in Elmwood Cemetery
Charles W. Ayers died in Nashua Iowa and will be buried Monday at Elmwood cemetery in Waterloo. He served long with Waterl oo post office and in various telephone companies including Cedar Valley Corn Belt and Iowa Telephone. He lived near Nashua as a farm owner and was active in Masonic groups Knights of Pythias and the Clinton consistory. He was about 50 and a sister Mrs Hoi Shaffner of Waterloo survives. Funeral services will be held in Nashua's Masonic hall tomorrow afternoon.
