Woman 5 Sought in 225 Forgery
A stylish woman posing as Mrs. Mackin defrauded Water loo merchants of 225 via two forged checks. She used a $157 check at S. A. Asquith & Bros. Jewelry and a $50 check at U. T. Shoe Store, both cashed for cash. Police described her as about 45, wearing a Hudson seal coat and modish hat. The niece of Thomas Mackin witnessed the first transaction.
