Missouri farmers face losses from big corn crop
Columbia Missouri December 17 Missouri farmers say this year s corn crop will not cover labor costs and farm expenses. S M Jordan director of farmers institutes reports an average yield of 2 4 bushels per acre at 49 7 cents per bushel giving about 13 50 gross per acre yet costs to produce reach 12 26 leaving a slim 1 67 profit per acre.
