Farmers-Todays Market News Surplus In Dairy Products
Farmers of Benton and surrounding regions report dairy surplus easing but storage jutter remains. The Iowa Creamery Secretaries' and Managers' association notes strong winter production could shrink spring stocks, pressuring butterfat prices. Co-operatives in Jesup and others show varied output and rising prices, while farmers push for improved rural roads and cooperative marketing to capture more consumer dollars. Resolutions favor McNary-Haugen principles, seed corn relief, and Torrens title laws.
