Plats For 2 City Additions Given Tentative Approval
Two plats Lake Park and California additions were tentatively approved by the city council. Lake Park lies inside the city with blight changes on a 13 acre tract and the park center on Pershing boulevard. California addition lies just outside the city limits and marks the first step of a proposed factory complex with 70 lots along Rainbow drive and near the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific tracks. Final approval depends on street width changes from 90 to 40 feet and a legal provision for future city joining.

Nora Springs Editor Seeks renomination and speakership
Nora Springs editor and Safe Hill newspaper publisher announced his candidacy for reno mination in the June primary for state representative from Floyd County Eighty eighth district. He said he would pursue the speakership if renominated and elected after having been a pre session candidate in prior attempts. He has served in the Iowa House for the Forty first and Forty second sessions and was active on several key committees and debates.
