Bridge Accepted for Mit land Avenue Project in Georgetown
The Georgetown city council approved the Mit land avenue bridge at last night’s regular meeting and authorized a 1.7 mill bridge tax for 20 years to fund bonds. N. M. Stark & Co. posted a $6,000 bond to complete unfinished work by June 1, 1914, and a contract for boweryard lighting was awarded to N. N. Stark Co. Total construction cost comes in under the original estimate, with refunds and adjustments noted. The report lists house numbering issues, protests on Center Street assessments, and a plan to complete the bridge by June 1 1914 with a $5,000 bond refundable on completion.
