Des Moines dispatch reports Iowa’s 3M. C. A. war fund drive exceeds the $800,000 target with more than $1,510,000 raised. State leaders say nearly all counties are reaching their quotas, aided by 9,000 to 10,000 boys enrolled in a food-packet pledge for war prisoners in Europe. County totals list substantial sums across many regions, with only a few counties still behind.
