American Legion push to keep nation safe and united
Col. Han ford McNider of Mason City told Waterloo business leaders and World War veterans that the Legion must preserve the fighting spirit that kept America safe. He urged support for adjusted compensation for wounded veterans and for accelerating Americanization efforts as regional post growth continues. A committee was formed to secure suitable quarters, with meetings planned to discuss space in Memorial hall or West Club rooms.
