The Pelletier Players staged Macbeth on East High’s stage, led by Pierre Pelletier as the ambitious thane. Mrs Pelletier impressed as Lady Macbeth with strong support from Daggett, Cloe, Major, and others as the company drew the audience into the Scottish tragedy.

American Legion District Convention Set for Dec 16 17
Becker Chapman post commander Henry C Dallman announced the American Legion district convention will convene here December 16 and 17 with all state officers of the legion and auxiliary expected. A joint memorial program is planned for December 29 at Memorial hall and a carnival dance tonight at the Forum to raise funds for legion welfare work.

WANTED FORGER Bohn moved to Ashland after Decorah escape
William Bohn wanted on forgery charges was taken by state agents from a Decorah hospital to Ashland Wisconsin. He and accomplice Joe Moyer broke jail after being wounded by farmer John Schendelmaier who had been forced to drive them into Iowa. Ashland authorities will return Bohn here for trial.

Fire losses in the city totaled 3528 during November despite 56 alarms answered by the fire department. Chief Ray Tiller submitted the figures to the state fire marshal. The worst single blaze caused 1767 in a four night fire at the Green Tea Room.
