Boyd McNair Dies After Fall and Meningitis Complication
Boyd McNair, 31, a One man for the W C N railroad, died at Allen Memorial hospital from meningitis after injuries from a fall with a broken pole at Cedar Falls last Saturday. Born September 23, 1896 in Ashland Kansas, he served in the U S Navy in WWI and married Florence Williamson May 2, 1923. Three Youth Robbery Trio Sentenced to 25 Years
Three young men led by 22 year old Francis Fuller were sentenced to 25 years in a penitentiary after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery in Fort Madison Iowa. The group also included George Fuller aged 18 and William Howell aged 19. They had held up a local drugstore on November 19 and fled. Police say they may be sought for other highway robberies in various states.
