Fight Over Fort Dodge Estate Promises Long Trial
In Fort Dodge Iowa August 31 a landmark will dispute between John Stevenson Seymour and Mrs Olga Seymour over the late Dr F E Seymour’s estate valued around 400000 attracts in excess of 100 witnesses with 50 more expected. The suit raises two major issues including testamentary capacity and California domicile law as the adopted son challenges disinheritance and seeks a share of the estate. The case, filed in Webster County district court, is set to begin after the court’s opening and is expected to be one of the state’s most complex legal contests with prominent attorneys on both sides. John Stevenson Seymour once lived on the John Stevenson farm near Fort Dodge and has recently resided in Des Moines with his father.
