Des Moines Fair Concludes With Profits Amid Attendance Variations
Des Moines reports the seventh annual Iowa state fair closed with a strong exhibit program and announcements of department award winners. Attendance figures compare with 1923 and earlier years, with last year yielding a profit of about 321000 dollars. Harvest delays and thrift in spending are cited for lower turnout than 1924, yet the exposition meets board expectations for progress. Edwin Jacobs dies in Independence after being a former townsman.
