Man 13 Killed in Hawkeye Highway Crash
A fatal auto accident on the Hawkeye highway 11 miles east of Waterloo at 7 30 am left Ray Thompson a 13 year old boy dead and two others injured. Thompson was driving a car owned by Thomas Conley and crashed after the steering wheel jammed near a turn. The injured are Henry Belthuls a taxicab driver and a woman passenger.
