The ceremony for Mise Alera Mary Smith of Montezuma and Jack E. Nallsen of Cedar Rapids was held at 8 p m in a new home on Franklin Street with 20 guests. Ruth Sinden and Mrs Eaton Brown performed music, and a reception followed hosted by Viola Wild, Gladys Wild, Margaret Dahl, and Harriet Lugees. The bride wore beaded honeydew crepe over satin and carried a shower bouquet of Beaver roses. Attending out of town were relatives from Osceola, Montezuma, New Hampton, Mason City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo and others.

Ernest Huffman of Waterloo national guard earned a place on the Iowa national guard team for the national rifle shoot at Camp Perry Ohio this September.
