Dubuque Loses Suit Over Street Car Half Fare
Dubuque authorities failed to restrain the street railway from enforcing half fare rules after the U S circuit court of appeals reversed a lower court ruling in favor of the city. The decision ends much litigation that began when the Dubuque Electric Company refused to honor or sell half fare tickets. If the decree enforces denial of half fares, refunds may be arranged and existing tickets could become worthless. Further action appears unlikely but not ruled out.
