Novel Plan Lets Western Art Move Into Homes
Chicago unveils a Chicago Galleries association plan to place 160 top Western paintings in homes of 150 lay members over time. Members pay 200 annually for three years, choose artworks, hold them 30 to 60 days, then swap. A judging panel awards 1000 to the best picture with a sequence of prizes down to 200. Artists from Ohio to the Pacific coast are invited to join.
