Stealing Car Leads to Waterloo Arrests in Rockford Case
Tewalt, 21, employed at a filling station, stole a light roadster with Illinois truck plates in Rockford. He claimed he bought the car for 150 dollars and sought a license transfer. He was arrested at 8 p.m. by Waterloo police and held for Rockford sheriff on auto theft charges. A Clinton, Iowa suspect, Carl Rasmussen, was later arrested for stealing a car, via Clinton police alert.
