Oklahoma City Aug 17 Gus Anthony an alleged bootlegger died in a hospital after a yesterday night clash with officers on city outskirts. A companion is believed not fatally wounded while Officer Jess Cogswell was shot through both arms. Police pursue an injured man as the bootleggers, said to have 400 pints of liquor, return toward Oklahoma City from Wichita Falls Texas. Officers heard of their approach and moved to a cane field near the root land. they were fired on during the transfer from car to farm wagon.
