Bidding for City Bonds Sets Premium Record
Two bond firms White Philips Davenport and Schanke Co Mason City bid on a 75000 line of refunding bonds. After adjustments the White-Philipe offer of 1800 premium was accepted, standard 6 percent interest. The issue marks a financial improvement, with warrants over 65000 outstanding and prior issues sold at a discount. The bidding was competitive, rising in small increments from 1500 to 1685.50.
