Rainfall Sweeps Iowa Friday With Wide Varying Amounts

Woman Killed as Trolley Hits Auto at Crossing
Mrs. Joseph Brower of a farm twelve miles southwest of Webster City was instantly killed when an interurban trolley struck the auto in which she and her husband rode. Brakes failed, weeds hid the crossing, and the collision near Flugstad sent the husband to hospital with serious injuries. The widow leaves three children and other relatives, including Cyril G. Manning of Des Moines. Manning, a former field secretary for the Iowa State Sunday School Association, was 63.
