Frank H. Fluent, a courthouse fireman, and his wife completed a 3085 mile trip in an eight year old touring car. They camped in tourist parks from Minnesota through North and South Dakota to Montana, with gas and oil costs totaling 130 dollars and a 27 dollar repair bill. They reported heavy tourist traffic, courteous camps, and no legal trouble, aside from snow closures at Yellowstone. The only car expense was a thrust bearing.
