West Union Ia April 30 Mrs J L Knutson lost her right eye after a lightning shock while telephoning during a thunderstorm. The injury occurred as she spoke with her son Alfred Knutson who resides at Wadena. An operation followed at Gelwein hospital to address the injury.
Miss Wilma Hey, daughter of Mrs Hattia M Hey of 212 Home Park Boulevard, born August 15, 1907 in South Bend Indiana, is named valedictorian of the West High class of 1925. Miss Mary Stevenson, daughter of Dr and Mrs E F Stevenson of 624 Kimball Avenue, born April 26, 1907 in Webster City, is salutatorian. Both seniors are active in many West High clubs and dramatic productions and will graduate from the college preparatory course.
