National Guard aviation plan eyed for Hawkeye territory
Washington News Bureau notes a proposed national guard aerial program to train aviators in 30 states, using surplus war planes and motors. It aims to provide a training medium for thousands of mechanics and pilots, boosting civil aviation and defense without heavy federal costs. The plan envisions a democratic organization offering former service members a path to flight and civilian careers.
