Road Bond Prospects Discussed by Iowa Technicians
J A Paulsen district engineer for the Iowa highway commission outlined potential pavement gains in northeastern Iowa if the $100,000,000 road bond issue passes next November. He cited about 602.8 miles of paving in the ten county district with 30 miles added in Black Hawk by 1934 and named primary routes to be hard surfaced. E M Lichty supported paving and stated bonds could deliver a six year construction program with state retirement of county bonds and interest coverage.
