Immense Benefit Expected From Alaskan Railroad

The Alaska railroad nearing completion after eight years and 56 million dollars of work spans 467 miles from Seward to Fairbanks. The line is already in operation along its length and is expected to generate nearly one million dollars yearly as it boosts mineral, coal, gas, and timber industries, fisheries, and homesteading by enabling year round transport and cheaper goods. Bridges like the Nenana span and Hurricane Gulch highlight the project advancements amid harsh conditions. Broad Pass marks the highest point at 2400 feet.
