Grain ships to Switzerland not guaranteed safety
Amsterdam reports a semi official Berlin telegram stating Germany cannot guarantee the safety of American grain ships bound for Switzerland in the next three months. Although orders to spare grain vessels exist, safety cannot be assured until more warships abroad receive the directive. If a German vessel sinks such a ship the US president would bear responsibility. An unrelated medical ad note follows.
