Federal survey to map Webster County topography
Des Moines reports the topographical survey of the Fort Dodge area will take most of the summer. Nine engineers, led by Wi. L. Millar of Washington, D. C., conduct the joint government state project to map topography and geology. Previous surveys covered Polk, Dallas, Story and Boone counties with future work near Des Moines and Warren, Marion, Muscopa, Lucas and Monroe counties. The effort targets mineral deposits and gypsum fields near Fort Dodge and coal areas southeast and north of Des Moines.
