Long E H School lunch hour win extends schedule

At a board of education meeting the long lunch period for Long E H School and East Nink Schoola was approved after a parental referendum. The plan extends noon intermission to 75 minutes or 60 minutes, with a 4 pm dismissal and cafeteria operations to continue for a month while the new schedule is tested. Concerns about cost and supervision were raised, with calls to hire police or open gym and assembly spaces for supervised recreation during the open period. The Theodore Roosevelt grade school was reported finished.
