Two Browning rifles to Iowa museum from WWI clash
Des Moines will receive two Browning automatic rifles from the 352nd Infantry, taken from German forces during a Oct 31 1918 clash at Clover Leaf lines in Alsace. Corporal Hans Johnson and Privates Crosby Boyd among defenders. Johnson later became sergeant. A separate item notes a marriage license issued to Glenn Goodwin and Vic Jet Evans, ages 18 and 16, with parental consent.
