Heartened by Faith Chinese Famine Aid Blesses Women
Anna V Blough a Church of the Brethren missionary writes from Lung Chuane about famine relief in China. She notes Chinese villagers turned to God for relief while some asked for ongoing prayers and religious instruction. She describes a rescued young woman’s transformation and the strong impact of teaching Jesus death and salvation to local women and girls. The letter details a stone slab commemorating last year’s famine, donor contributions, and villagers’ theatrical event that reinforced gospel messages.
